TAR (Texas Adventure Ride) Ride Reports

Three Day, 1100 Mile Dual Sport Ride to Langtry and Back - Easter of 2006, 2 friends and I did a 3 day, 1100 mile dual sport tour from Austin to Langtry and back.  What a great ride we had.  After reading this ride report, another friend suggested that I turn this ride into an annual event.  The seed was planted that resulted in me putting together the Texas Adventure Ride.

The right way to break in a Wee-Strom - Uncle and I went on a fantastic 2 day dual sport ride from Austin to Junction and back so we could break in his new Wee-Strom.  Based on the number of fun dual sport roads in that area and the charm of Junction, this ride convinced me to select Junction as the ride headquarters for the Texas Adventure Ride.

A Big Water Crossing and a Busted Hamstring - One of the recommended TAR rides includes the largest, scariest river crossing in this part of Texas.  This is the story of my first visit to that water crossing and the painful results.

Other Mexico Ride Reports

The Desert Expedition 2007 - Six of us went on a three day expedition through the desert & mountains of northeast Mexico in March 2007.  We rode a big loop through the state of Coahuila, Mexico, entering Mexico from Del Rio and exiting at Eagle Pass.  It was an epic adventure.
